The Tidewater AFS EXCOM is pleased to announce some exciting, new modifications to the meeting format for 2018. Two choices will be given for student talks this year. A 3-minute “lightning” talk, suitable for students who have topics and methods for their research projects, but no results. There will also be the option to choose a traditional, 15-minute talk for student projects that are further along.
Here are some other highlights of the meeting:
Roundtable Panel Discussion at the Carteret Community College Civic Center, Morehead City, January 25th. Topic: ''Using citizen science to improve information for US South Atlantic federal fisheries."
Poster Social, January 25th, Center for Marine Science and Technology, Morehead City.
Plenary, Professional, and Student Talks, January 26-27th, NC Maritime Museum, Beaufort.
Student-Mentor Lunch, January 26th.
Awards banquet and Social, January 26th, Core Sound Waterfowl Museum, Harkers Island.

Register and upload your poster or oral presentation abstract during this early registration period. If you are a student and interested in participating in the student/mentor lunch, please consider uploading your CV; this will allow us to better match you with a mentor.
